(Initial Professional Development)

Practical Experience Requirement (PER)

Being a confident, inspiring and trusted professional comes with experience. Our practical experience requirement lets you put the theory you learn into practice in a supported environment.

The Applied Knowledge exams will provide you with a broad introduction to the world of finance and develop your essential understanding and techniques in accounting.

Building on your existing knowledge and understanding, the Applied Skills exams develop strong, broad and practical finance skills required of future strategic professional accountant in any sector or industry. The essential building blocks.

Optional BSc

Study for the BSc (Hons) Degree in Applied Accounting, which is available exclusively to ACCA students.

Ethics and Professional Skills module

This module focuses on developing the complete range of professional skills employers have told us they need. In an interactive environment you’ll meet a number of real-world scenarios to help you develop and practise your professional and ethical skills.

Practical Experience Requirement

Don’t forget to keep logging your PER – this will support you in your final steps in becoming an ACCA member.
